The Artisan Hotel Boutique is only a 15-20 minute walk from the North end of the famous Las Vegas Strip, this is the Stratosphere end and around 2 miles away from the central action around the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, MGM Grand, etc. It’s an easy drive to the Strip and Fremont Street and nearby public buses run around the clock. The Las Vegas Monorail is also accessible from the hotel.

Bedrooms
The bedrooms at the Artisan Hotel Las Vegas feature wonderfully unique artworks, as well as maintaining a dark gothic theme. Each bedroom has a flat-screen cable TV, a work desk, a secure safe, an iPod docking station, a ceiling fan, air conditioning, and free WiFi. The rooms are spacious with plenty of hanging space for clothes.
We stayed in the cheapest standard bedroom and everything about our space was perfect. The hotel was quiet and the reception staff were helpful when giving us directions to the nearest laundromat.
Facilities
The reception area of the Artisan Hotel Las Vegas is spectacular, it really has to be seen to be believed.
Pieces of artwork cover the walls and the ceiling and the dark colors and feature statues give it a gothic boutique feel.
Guests can relax with an extensive cocktail menu in the lounge area, the hotel Bar and Ultralounge offer regular live music as well as Happy hour drinks offers and award winning after-hours parties.
The outdoor pool is one of few in Las Vegas that are ‘topless optional’, the pool is ‘European themed’, mostly Medditeranain giving it an exotic and relaxing feel.
The Artisan Hotel Boutique also has an on-site Tapas restaurant that offers happy hour drinks and tapas dishes.
All rooms include complimentary access to the well-equipped Fitness Center from 6am to 10pm.
There’s also a Boutique salon inside the hotel called Brush that offers hair, makeup, lashes, waxing, and facials.
Reputation
The Artisan Hotel Las Vegas has a reputation as a party hotel for mature adults wishing to stay away from the younger party atmosphere that the hotels on the strip offer. The Artisan is known for its topless-optional pool area as well as attracting ‘swingers’ and people seeking ‘adult fun’.
We were not ‘involved’ in ‘adult activities’ that the hotel unofficially attracts, and we were in no way intimidated or uncomfortable about what may or may not have been going on around us.
Everybody was very welcoming and we felt a wonderful friendly atmosphere during our stay. Don’t let rumors put you off, the hotel is delightful.
