Hostel Review: Urban House Hostel, Copenhagen, Denmark
Urban House Hostel Copenhagen
When we stayed at Urban House Hostel Copenhagen, were fortunate enough to have a six bed dorm to ourselves during our visit to Copenhagen ‘out of season’.
Urban House Hostel Copenhagen opened it’s doors a few days prior to our stay, we were lucky enough to experience fresh decor, brand new beds and unused board games (with all the pieces in!).
The social area of Urban House Hostel is amazing, lots of comfy seats, bean bags, board games, and a great atmosphere. Everyone was having a good time in a mellow and ultra modern environment.
Some of the best features of the hostel are a pool table, table football, an elevator and a next generation laundry room. The decor is clean and quirky and the have super friendly staff working around the clock. The dorm beds were very comfortable, clean along with a perfectly sized en-suite bathroom.
We booked 2 beds in a 6 person dorm with en-suite bathroom.
There was a secure locker for each person and bedding was provided.
This super stylish hostel offer an ideal range of rooms:
ShoeBox – Single person
Doubleheader – 2 person (1 double bed)
Bunkalow – 4 beds (1 double bed and a bunk)
The Mini Bunkalow – 3 person room
The Big BunkALow – 6 beds (1 double bed and 2 bunks)
Cowabunka – 4 beds
TriBunka – 6 beds
GoBunkers – 8 beds
BunkaBunka – 10 beds
BunkLoads – 12 beds
Top Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor facing the inner courtyard as the street can be noisy at night.
To make your stay comfortable, each dorm has:
- A private bathroom
- free wifi
- lots of power sockets
- bed linen and towels
- 1 locker + 1 padlock per person
- A hair dryer (request from reception)
Bathroom- Each room has a decent sized private bathroom with WC and shower.
Laundry- This hostel has great laundry facilities. Two loads of washing costs £5.
Food and Drink
The Urban Bar is a great place for guests to grab a beer or a snack while watching regular live music acts. Urban House also has happy hour offers in the evening.
We paid £25/$33 per bed in a six person dorm with a private bathroom, this was in March 2015.
We recommend booking.com for good rates at this hostel.
