About Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres translates to women island. It is a small Mexican island, around 650 metres wide and 7km in length and is situated in the Caribbean sea. Sounds like a paradise island right? Well we certainly agree. We found out by some friends in Tulum that we were pronouncing it wrong, apparently it is actually pronounced (Isla Mu-who-ray).
Famous for its stunning white sandy beaches and warm clear sea waters, it is a perfect spot for snorkeling and relaxation.
It is easily accessed from Cancun via the Ultramar boat.
