Hotel La Galeria by Bunik is situated in Playa Del Carmen, in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It’s a beautiful adult-only hotel in a great location for a cheap price and it is a perfect choice for a budget traveler yearning a little luxury in Mexico.
There are a lot of great facilities offered at La Galeria and it’s a perfect place to stay for any type of traveler visiting Playa Del Carmen.
During our visit, there was always free water available in the reception area of the hotel and even complimentary light snacks and alcoholic refreshments on an evening.

Location
Hotel La Galeria by Bunik is situated in the heart of Playa Del Carmen, in the Centro neighborhood, just 12 miles from the island of Cozumel.
Hotel La Galeria by Bunik is ideal for travelers wishing to be close to the action but far away enough away to relax when needed. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the main attractions in Playa Del Carmen, including the ADO bus station, the main shopping area, the beach and the famous Coco Bongo nightclub.
This is a great hotel to stay at in Playa Del Carmen if you wish to visit Cozumel, as it’s only a 20-minute walk to the Ultramar ferry terminal.
Rooms
The hotel La Galeria by Bunik has a total of 18 rooms spread over 3 floors.
All rooms have free wifi and reliable air conditioning, which is a massive bonus as Playa Del Carmen can get really humid at times. The rooms also come with private bathrooms, towels and free toiletries, as well as a lovely furnished balcony which is great for people watching and relaxing.
We paid £17.50 per night for our luxury double room with a private bathroom and balcony.
Facilities
Hotel La Galeria by Bunik has an excellent range of facilities including a 24-hour reception, luggage storage, multilingual staff, tours and ticket assistance, dry cleaning, laundry service, and wifi in all rooms and communal areas.
This fabulous hotel also has a rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers.
There are no cooking facilities on site, however there is a great restaurant and juice bar across the street called Nativo. This is a great place for a budget traveler, a meal with a fresh juice is around £5/$7 per person.
One thing to note is that this hotel has no elevator so is not good for people with limited mobility.
Our Rating
Hotel La Galeria by Bunik in Playa Del Carmen is great value for money.
Our stay was perfect, we had a beautifully clean and spacious room with aircon and a balcony. This hotel is in a great location, not too far from the main attractions but also set just far away enough to get a good rest at night.
This hotel is a backpacker’s dream offering a luxurious experience with great facilities for a cheap price.
